Client: Hickory and PTI Group
Project value: $40 million
Date of completion: October 2016
The challenge: This project involved the construction of a new 16 storey Peppers Hotel in the heart of Perth. The property has 120 hotel rooms with a ground floor bar and restaurant combined with reception and a conference and lounge areas on the first floor.
The design was constructed utilising pre-fabricated modular units stacked in sections above one another. At the time of construction, the building was Australia’s tallest pre-fabricated hotel building.
Our solution: Defire prepared a concept design, fire engineering brief and fire engineered solution for the project. This also involved reviewing the Hickory modular system and ensuring that the propriety wall linings meet fire rating requirements.
