The Perth Waterfront DoubleTree by Hilton is an 18 storey hotel development comprising of 260 rooms and has panoramic views of the Swan River and city skyline.
The Fremantle DoubleTree by Hilton is a six storey mixed-use development comprising of 150 hotel rooms, 98 apartments and 2000m2 of retail space. The building is centrally located with a view of Fremantle Harbour.
All three developments include restaurants, bars, gym with pool, business centre and meeting rooms and a green star, environmentally sustainable design.
Our solution: Defire provided a range of performance solutions for each of the hotel designs, including reduced fire ratings, extend travel distances and performance based smoke hazard management.
As part of the design Defire were extensively involved in assessing the option for a pre-fabricated modular design solution. This involved working closely with the modular manufacturer, structural engineer, architect and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) in achieving an acceptable design.
